The Southeast Michigan Campus is based at Ascension Providence Hospital, Southfield Campus.

Committed academic and community attending physician faculty, over 200 residents and fellows in 18 graduate medical education programs and a diverse patient population,.

CLERKSHIP PROGRAMS

Clerkships are 4-6 weeks in length with clinical learning experience that are structured to allow for institutional academic excellence. The goal for the clerkships is to expose
students to a wide range of clinical activities associated with each discipline. Students
master core competencies uniquely to each specified clerkship. Inpatient and Outpatient
experiences can be in a variety of clinics around the Southeastern area but tend to be
concentrated at the Ascension Southfield Providence location.

The Southeastern Michigan Campus at Ascension Providence Hospital is institutionally
affiliated with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. All participating
students will take part in supervised, hands-on rotations, based on availability, with
access to didactic lectures, library services and one on one mentorship throughout their
3rd and 4th Year of Medical School and beyond.

Various Core Clerkship are offered:

Family Medicine (4 weeks)
Internal Medicine (6 weeks)
MICU (4 weeks)
Obstetrics and Gynecology (4 weeks)
Pediatrics (4 weeks)
Psychiatry (4 weeks)
Surgery I-II (4 weeks)
